L'Orangerie a 1 or 3 bedroom holiday home to rent close to the sea on the Cote d'Azur South of France
The house stands in its own botanical garden of palms, roses, camelias and citrus trees just steps above the medieval village of Bormes les Mimosas, a "village fleuri" with lush flowers cascading down winding narrow alleys. The village is 3-4 kilometres from beautiful unspoilt beaches. Walk up the hill behind to the Chapel of Notre Dame de Constance. There are many other beautiful walks in the hills around Bormes - guides to footpaths and hikes are available from the village tourist office. Or you can hike around the local Mediterranean coast, along a spectacular footpath through clifftops, rocky outgrowths and beaches. Needless to say, at every turn, the views of the Mediterranean are spectacular.
There is a private access road with own parking close to the house. Tranquil setting yet only a few steps through the garden down to the main square of the old village, with its cafes, restaurants, Wednesday market, bookstore (with international newspapers), and arts and crafts shops and bakers set amidst beautiful, traffic-free streets. Food shops and supermarkets are in the new village further down the hill. Tennis in the courts of the local club. Golf at 10km.
