The Accommodation in the House
The Tallow Factory provides accommodation for up to 12 people. Specifically there are 3-4 double beds, and 4-6 twins. A cot is also available upon request. Most of the sleeping accommodation is upstairs, but for guests who wish to sleep on the ground floor, a sitting room with adjacent bathroom can be turned into a comfortable bedroom at night with proper sprung mattresses ( not a sofabed). Two of the bedrooms ( on the second floor, under the eaves) are interconnected, they are especially popular with children and have panoramic views over the roofs of the surrounding houses to water meadows beyond.
Our prices are based on ten guests, but a total of twelve can be accommodated in comfort. If you planning on making use of the ground floor sitting room as an en suite bedroom, ( useful for guests with mobility problems) please let us know beforehand. Our prices are fully inclusive of all utilities (electricity, water, gas and wireless internet). The only additional cost is a returnable security deposit of 250 pounds View photographs of the rooms in the house in the gallery section.
While we want you to enjoy your holiday, we regret that smoking is not permitted in any part of the property, and since The Tallow factory has neighbours close-by, it is not suitable for late night parties.

Second Floor
Two interconnected bedrooms at the top of the house. Bedroom One has a double bed; Bedroom Two has two singles.Plenty of light from large dormer windows and great views.
Other features:
The house is centrally heated, there is a gas fired log effect woodburing stove in the inglenook fireplace. The upstairs bathrooms are fed from a large immersion heater, the downstairs bathroom from the gas fired combination boiler and the en suite half bathroom has its own electric powered hot water system. Three different sources of hot water means that hot water is simultaneously available in all the bathrooms. Wireless broadband is installed in the house and is free for people who bring their own laptops. A telephone is available for guests’ use, guests pay for outgoing calls.
